A559 5631 - TIR spot-focusing lens, dia 56mm

Lens A559 is one of our most popular lenses in the whole portfolio. High precision of molded back side as well as of polished front side guarantees maximal efficiency and high power potential. A559 is our second largest spot lens. Spot lenses are used in optical systems to reach a very narrow beam angle. Lens A559 is designed for light sources with size up to 15mm. Recommended mutual position for LED and lens is given in lens drawing under files for download. Nevertheless for optimal function it is recommended to test proper position for every LED source. The beam angle of A559 in a combination with Cree XP-G, Cree XM-L and Luminus SST-90 is 4°, 6°and 9°. The smaller light source is used the narrower angle is reached. It is necessary to use bigger optics in order to reach even narrower angle. We offer one bigger spot lens: A561. To reach the lowest value of the beam angle you need to use the biggest optics and the smalles light source.
